About of third of this insulation was a mouse nesting grounds. More evidence of mice was found in the insulation in the basement. Uck! And I am happy to be rid of it. It was old and no longer smelled. Here is the old wasp's nest that was in one corner of the room. Empty now, but impressive.
We moved in to our 1920's house in July of 2007. We thought we would immeidately renovate but have waited a few years while the rest of life took over our time. In the spring and summer of 2009, we renovated our one bathroom. After David's death in 2010, I took a long, slow look at what I wanted to do with this house and how to make it fit my needs. In summer of 2011, I had all of the wood floors sanded and refinished. I had bookcases built in the living room and dining room. Right now, Fall 2011, the kitchen is being ripped out and renovated.
